Lake Forest Unable to Avoid Sweep at St. Olaf

The Forester men's hockey team was defeated 1-0 at St. Olaf College on Saturday. Lake Forest junior goaltender Marc Stuart had 41 saves in the contest.

Stuart faced 14 shots on goal in each of the three periods and allowed the only goal of the contest at the 10:47 mark of the first. He raised his save percentage on the season to .939, which ranks 11th in the nation.

The Foresters put eight shots on goal in the first period, six in the second, and eight in the third but were unable to tie the score.

The non-conference loss drops Lake Forest's overall record on the season to 2-7-0. St. Olaf evened its mark at 4-4-2.

The Foresters will travel to UW-River Falls next weekend for its final non-conference series of the season. The teams will face off Friday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
