Lake Forest Finishes 13th at Illinois Wesleyan Invitational

The Forester men's golf team finished 13th out of 20 teams at the Illinois Wesleyan University, posting a round of 315 on Friday and a 329 on Saturday. The 36-hole event was played at Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Illinois.

Sophomore Jack Dwyer was Lake Forest's top player both days, carding a 3-over 75 on Friday and an 80 on Saturday. He birdied the 11th, 12th, and 13th holes during his opening round and played the course's four par-5s in even par for the tournament. Dwyer was tied-for-25th in the 110-player field.

Freshman Ryan Higgins was next on the team with a two-day score of 160. He followed up Friday's 78 with an 82 in round two. 

Forester sophomore James Johnson finished at 166 and turned in one of the field's five eagles, completing the 531-yard par-5 seventh hole in three strokes on Saturday.

Also finishing among the top four on the team both days was sophomore Carlos Garcia Bodini, who used 83 strokes to complete each of his rounds.

Lake Forest will be in action again next Saturday at the Wisconsin Lutheran Spring Invitational, which will be held at Morningstar Golf Club in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
