Foresters Tie for 11th at Rain-Shortened WLC Fall Invitational

Freshmen James Johnson and Anthony Scarletta posted scores in the 70s on Saturday as Lake Forest tied for 11th place at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Fall Invitational. Sunday's final round was canceled due to weather.

Johnson's 77 on the 6,748-yard, par-72 Washington County Golf Course in Hartford, Wisconsin, put him in a tied for 16th place in the 88-player field. He turned in 11 pars and a pair of birdies on the day. Scarletta tied for 25th with a 79.

Fellow Forester freshmen Carlos Garcia Bodini and Jack Dwyer tied for 53rd place with matching 84s and senior Austin Aksoy was tied-for-68th at 87.

Edgewood College finished first in the 14-team event with a five-player score of 379, one stroke better than runner-up Carthage College. Lake Forest and Milwaukee School of Engineering tied for 11th at 411.

The Foresters will close out the fall portion of their schedule at next weekend's MSOE Invitational at Grand Geneva Resort at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Sunday's opening round will begin at 1:15 p.m. and MOnday's final round is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m.
