Lake Forest Ties for 10th at Culver's Edgewood Fall Classic

Three Foresters making their collegiate debut posted back-to-back rounds in the 70s and Lake Forest tied for 10th place at the 23-team Culver's Edgewood Fall Classic over the weekend. The tournament was played at Glen Erin Golf Course in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Freshman Jack Dwyer led the way for the Foresters with a 77 on Friday and a 1-over 72 in Saturday's second round. Four of his five birdies on the weekend came on Saturday and he tied for 11th place out of 125 players at the event.

Fellow freshman James Johnson was next on the team and tied-for-19th overall just three strokes behind Dwyer with a two-day score of 152. He also carded five birdies on the weekend, including three in Friday's round of 74.

With a 77 on Friday and a 78 on Saturday, freshman Anthony Scaletta tied for 37th place in the tournament. Senior Austin Aksoy rounded out the top four for the Foresters in both rounds with, in order, an 86 and an 81.

Webster University won the event at 581, 20 shots better than runner-up Carthage College. The Foresters were joined by Milwaukee School of Engineering in 10th at 623.

Lake Forest will be in action again next weekend at Carthage's Tim Kopka Memorial Invitational, which will be held at Randall Oaks Golf Club in West Dundee, Illinois. Rounds on Friday and Saturday will begin at 1:00 p.m.
