Senior Ricky Schmidt is in third place overall and the Foresters are in second as a team after Friday's first two rounds of the 2019 Midwest Conference Championship Tournament.

The entire 36-man field played 36 holes on Friday after Thursday's opening round was postponed due to rain.

He birdied seven different holes on the day, including a pair of par-3s in the first round and the 520-yard, par-5 opening hole in the second. He will enter Saturday's third and final round five shots behind the leaders.
