Jacob Krugman Repeats as MWC Performer of the Week

Lake Forest College golfer Jacob Krugman was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday, claiming the award for the second straight week and the seventh time in his career.

Krugman finished in a tie for 17th place out of 120 competitors at the Illinois Wesleyan University Invitational last weekend. After carding a 75 in Friday's opening round, he matched his season-best score with a 73 on Saturday. Krugman's two-day score of 148 matched the 10th-best mark in recorded program history and he has now finished a 36-hole event in fewer than 150 strokes six times in his career.

The Foresters finished 15th at the event with a score of 614, tying the fifth-lowest two-round total in team annals.

Krugman is now averaging 76.58 strokes per round this season and 76.34 for his career.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league office. Krugman also earned the league's weekly honor twice last season and three times as a freshman.
