Jacob Krugman Named Forester Athlete of the Week

Lake Forest College men's golfer Jacob Krugman was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after tying for first place at the Wisconsin Lutheran Fall Invitational on Sunday and Monday.

Krugman, a sophomore, shot even par at the two-day tournament, which was played on the 6,926-yard, par-72 Washington County Golf Course in Hartford, Wisconsin. His opening round on Sunday included three birdies and 11 pars and left him in a tie for second place out of 99 players. He carded one birdie on the front nine and three on the back during his 1-under 71 on Monday.

Lake Forest placed third in the 16-team field with a two-day score of 611.

Krugman's 144 is the second-lowest 36-hole score in recorded program history while his 71 on Monday ranks tied-for-seventh for 18 holes.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information. Krugman also earned the award twice as a freshman last spring.
