Foresters Finish 21st at Augustana Invitational

Sophomore Jeremy Edelson was the squad's top finisher as the Lake Forest College men's golf team placed 21st at the Augustana Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Edelson's 6-over 78 on Friday was the Foresters' best round at the two-day event and he finished tied-for-54th out of 138 players in the tournament at 163.

Freshman Parker Hill was next on the team and tied-for-95th overall with a two-day score of 170 while sophomore Benjamin Crosby's 173 placed him in a tie for 103rd. Freshman Ricky Schmidt's 81 was the squad's lowest score on Saturday and he finished tied-for-109th overall with teammate and classmate Elijah Collins with a score of 175.

Indian Hills Community College finished first in the team standings with a two-day score of 591, followed by Illinois Wesleyan University at 612 and St. Ambrose University at 618. Lake Forest's 675 was just behind Grinnell College and ahead of Clarke University.

The Foresters will be in action again at a pair of events next weekend. The team will compete in the Wisconsin Lutheran College Spring Invitational on Saturday before hosting the Forester Spring Invite in Rockford, Illinois, on Sunday.
