Foresters Finally Start 2015 at Wisconsin Lutheran Spring Invitational

The Lake Forest College men's golf team played its first event of the second semester on Saturday at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Spring Invitational. The Foresters tied for 11th place at the tournament and were led by freshman Christopher Rockers, who carded a season-best score of 77.

Rockers' round included three birdies on the back nine and his 35 on that half of the course was the best of the tournament. He parred three of the four par-3 holes but scored a five on the other. He also played the four par-5s in 1-under and was four strokes over on the par-4s.

Each of Rockers' four teammates at the event are also freshmen. Durham Ghelfi was next on the team with a round of 82 that included birdies on the par-4 fourth and par-5 seventh holes. Davis DeKorte finished with an 85 and Jeremy Edelson with a 90. Benjamin Crosby birdied the par-5 12th during his round of 102.

Lake Forest will host the Forester Spring Invite at White Deer Run Golf Club on Sunday. Play will begin on the first and 10th holes at 11:20 a.m.
