The Lake Forest College men's basketball team traveled to Beloit College on Wednesday and came away with a 76-68 victory.

Junior forward Frank Siegien led all players in the game with 28 points and matched the second-best shooting performance in program history with a 12-for-12 performance from the field. He was also 4-for-4 from the foul line and grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Siegien is the seventh Forester to reach double figures in field goals without a miss and the first since Jim Schick also went 12-for-12 on February 1, 2014. The program record of 18-for-18 was set by Franklyn Beckford on Valentine's Day in 2004.

Senior guard Sean Espinosa was the only other Forester to score in double figures and finished with 26 points. He is now averaging 19.7 points per game in seven career appearances against Beloit.

Junior wing Johnny Roeser scored nine points and led Lake Forest in assists and steals with three apiece.

The Foresters shot a season-best 59.6 percent from the floor and made 62.5 percent of their field goal attempts after halftime. Lake Forest also pulled down two more rebounds (27-25) and committed two fewer turnovers (15-17) than the Buccaneers.

Beloit led by as many as six points early in the game but a 13-1 Forester run put the visitors on top for good. The margin grew to a dozen points before a Beloit three-pointer made the score 36-27 at halftime.

The home team pulled to within four points early in the second half but got no closer. The Foresters extended their advantage to 14 on a Siegien jumper with nine minutes to play and led by at least six the rest of the way.

Lake Forest is now 5-9 overall and 4-1 in Midwest Conference play this season. Beloit fell to 2-12 overall and 0-5 in the league.

The Foresters will host Illinois College at 3:00 Saturday afternoon.
