All five of Lake Forest's starters scored in double figures but the Forester men's basketball team was defeated 93-74 at Elmhurst College Thursday night.

Sophomore guard Rocco Ronzio led the visitors with 13 points while junior wing Johnny Roeser had 11 to go with a team-high nine rebounds and four assists. Junior forward Frank Siegien, freshman wing Ethan Augusto, and freshman guard Alex Knight finished with 10 points apiece.

The teams were separated by no more than two points during the game's first eight minutes. A 9-0 run by the Bluejays gave them the lead for good and 15 consecutive points by the home team later in the opening period extended the margin to 19. Elmhurst was ahead 48-29 at halftime and by as many as 29 in the second half.

The Foresters shot 47.5 percent from the field and 40.9 percent from three point range. Elmhurst, however, was even more efficient at 52.1 percent overall and 44.8 percent from beyond the arc. The home team had a slight 34-33 edge in rebounds while committing a dozen turnovers to Lake Forest's 20.

It was the final non-conference game of the regular season for the Foresters, who fell to 3-9 overall. Elmhurst, the 14th-ranked team in the nation by D3hoops.com, improved to 11-2.

Lake Forest will resume Midwest Conference play against Knox College at home next Tuesday. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m.
