The Forester men's basketball team was defeated 94-78 at Concordia University Chicago Wednesday night. It was the first game of the season for Lake Forest and the collegiate debut for 10 of the 14 players on the team.

Johnny Roeser, a sophomore transfer from Loras College, led the visitors with 17 points in the first half and 30 in the game.

After scoring two points in the game's first 20 minutes, Forester freshman Adam Weingard poured in 21 while knocking down five three-pointers in the second half.

Trailling 46-29 at halftime, Roeser and Weingard combined to score 11 points during a 14-3 run that cut the deficit to 10 points with nearly 16 minutes remaining. The Foresters got no closer, however, and the Cougar advantage reached as many as 24 points late in the contest.

The Foresters will play at home for the first time Saturday afternoon at 4:00 when they host Benedictine University.
