Senior wing Aram Arslanian finished with a team-high 19 points and seven rebounds but the Foresters fell 70-68 at Cornell College Saturday afternoon.

Arslanian also had four steals in the game and was joined in double figures by senior guard Sam Husting with 17 points, junior guard Sean Espinosa with 14, and sophomore guard Tashon Brown with 10. Husting knocked down four three-pointers on the afternoon and Brown led the visitors with three assists.

The Foresters shot 60 percent from the field in the first half and led 49-28 after 20 minutes of play. The margin was 17 at 60-43 with 11 minutes remaining when the home team scored nine straight points to close to within eight. After back-to-back jumpers by Arslanian made it a 12-point game with less than eight minutes to play, the Rams rattled off a dozen points in a row over the next four minutes to tie the score. Lake Forest regained the lead on a pair of baskets by Espinosa but did not score again. Cornell tied the game again with two minutes to play and scored the winning basket in the final 20 seconds.

The loss dropped the Foresters' overall record on the season to 5-6 and Midwest Conference mark to 2-2. Cornell is now 6-5 overall and 1-3 in the league.

Lake Forest will host Beloit College Wednesday evening at 5:30.
