Lake Forest was ahead 51-49 before Pomona-Pitzer rattled off 15 consecutive points and, after a layup by Espinosa, added nine more in a row to take a 20-point lead. The Foresters eventually closed to within 15 points with a minute-and-a-half to play but got no closer.

Lake Forest is now 4-4 and Pomona-Pitzer 7-2 on the season.
