Junior guard Sam Husting shot 6-for-7 from three-point range and scored a game-high 20 points in the Foresters' 96-66 victory over visiting Illinois College on Saturday.

Husting matched the second-highest single-game three-point field goal percentage in program history and added three assists in the contest. Four of his three-pointers came in the second half, which began with the teams tied at 33 and ended with the home team ahead by 30. The Foresters shot 66.7 percent from the field in the period and outscored their guests 31-3 during a seven-minute span after a Blueboy three-pointer had made it a four-point game with 15:27 remaining.

Five of Husting's teammates joined him in double figures with senior forward Danny Sotos scoring 19 points, freshman guard Tashon Brown 16, sophomore guard Sean Espinosa 15, senior guard Jordan Moran 11, and junior guard Aram Arslanian 10. Espinosa led the squad with seven rebounds and tied with Brown for team-high honors with four assists.

The Foresters' 14 three-pointers in the contest tied their second-highest total of the season and the ninth-best mark in program history. The shot 52.9 percent from the field in the game, out-rebounded the Blueboys 39-34, and forced 17 turnovers while committing just nine.

Sotos, Moran, and forward Chad Bauchan were honored on the court before their Senior Day game.

The victory improved Lake Forest's overall record to 16-7 and Midwest Conference mark to 12-4. Illinois College fell to 7-16 overall and 5-11 in the league.

The Foresters will play their final home game of the season Wednesday night at 7:30 against Ripon College.
