Sophomore guard Sean Espinosa scored a game-high 17 points but the Forester men's basketball team fell 57-47 to visiting St. Norbert College Wednesday night.

Espinosa knocked down three shots from beyond the arc, as did freshman guard Tashon Brown, who was next on the team with 11 points. Brown also led the squad with eight rebounds and added a pair of steals.

The Foresters limited St. Norbert to 38.5 percent shooting from the field but connected on just 29.6 percent of their own attempts. Lake Forest was also 8-for-31 on three-pointers and was out-rebounded 41-33 on the night.

Lake Forest never led in the contest. After the Green Knights jumped out to a 9-3 advantage, the home team second the next six points to tie the score with 12:49 to play in the first half. The visitors scored the next five points and extended their lead to eight at 28-20 by halftime.

The Foresters closed to within a point on a pair of free throws by Brown less than four minutes into the second half. St. Norbert responded with a 12-2 run and the margin was at least six points the rest of the way.

The loss dropped the Foresters' overall record on the young season to 4-2 and the team is now 1-2 in Midwest Conference play. St. Norbert is also 4-2 overall and improved to 3-0 in the league.

Lake Forest will travel to Loras College for a non-conference game Saturday afternoon at 4:00.
