Lake Forest College men's basketball player Sean Espinosa was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday for his performance in the team's 75-61 victory over University of Chicago the previous Saturday.
Espinosa led all players with 18 points and added four steals in the contest. Fifteen of the sophomore guard's points came during the opening period as the home team built up a 14-point lead by halftime.
After posting the second-highest assist total in school history last season, Espinosa leads this year's squad with 20.7 points and 3.3 steals per contest. Lake Forest is 3-0 and has outscored opponents by more than 12 points per game.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
