Lake Forest College men's basketball player Aram Arslanian was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Monday after scoring a total of 47 points in a pair of victories.

Arslanian, a sophomore guard, led all players with a career-high 25 points in the Foresters' 67-52 triumph Wednesday evening at Illinois College. He shot 11-for-18 from the field and 3-for-3 from the foul line while also leading his team with a career-high-tying seven rebounds and three steals.

Lake Forest hosted and defeated Knox College 76-60 on Saturday and Arslanian was once again the game's leading scorer with 22 points. He was even more efficient as a shooter than on Wednesday, connecting on 10 of 14 field goal attempts, and he once again added seven rebounds and three steals. With the Prairie Fire leading by three at halftime, Arslanian scored the Foresters' first eight points of a 13-2 run to open the second half and the home team led comfortably the rest of the way.

Arslanian shot 65.6 percent from the field and 5-for-5 from the free throw line in the two games combined.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information.
