Lake Forest College men's basketball player Aram Arslanian was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after helping lead his team to a 2-1 record in the previous seven days.

Arslanian, a sophomore guard, scored 10 points in the first victory, an 80-51 triumph at Knox College on Saturday. He hot 3-for-5 from the field, made all four of his free throw attempts, and added five rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the contest.

Lake Forest hosted and defeated Lawrence University 73-63 on Wednesday and Arslanian led all players with 23 points, more than twice his previous career-high. He connected on eight of 12 field goal attempts, including two of four from three-point range, and was once again perfect at the foul line, this time in five tries. He also chipped in with four rebounds, two assists, and three more steals on the evening. The Vikings had cut the Forester lead to just six late in the game before Arslanian scored seven points in the final 1:50 to help the home team secure the win.

Arslanian did not commit a turnover in 51 minutes of play in the two games combined.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
