Lake Forest College men's basketball player Eric Porter was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Monday after leading all players in scoring in both of the team's victories over the weekend.

Porter, a senior guard, shot 4-for-7 from three-point range and finished with 15 points in the Foresters' 80-55 rout of visiting Cornell College Friday evening. He also recorded four steals in the contest.

Lake Forest hosted and defeated Grinnell College 104-91 on Saturday with Porter matching his own school record with 11 three-pointers in 18 attempts on the day. His career-high 42 points are the fifth-highest single-game total and the most by a Forester since Franklyn Beckford scored 45 against Grinnell in January of 2005. Porter also shot 7-for-8 from the free throw line and added three more steals in the game.

Porter leads the Foresters and ranks second in the conference with 20.6 points per game, a .903 free throw percentage, a .471 three-point field goal percentage, and 4.6 three-pointers per contest this season.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's director of media and information. Porter also earned the award once during his sophomore season.
