Lake Forest College men's basketball player Danny Sotos received his second straight Forester Athlete of the Week accolade on Thursday.

Sotos, a junior, matched his career-high with 29 points in Lake Forest's 82-77 triumph at the University of Chicago on Saturday. He was especially effective in the second half, connecting on all eight of his attempts from the field, including four from three-point range, and scoring 22 points. Sotos shot 11-for-14 from the field and 5-for-6 from beyond the arc in the contest and outscored the Maroons 20-18 by himself during a span of 11-plus minutes in the comeback victory. He also pulled down seven rebounds in the contest.

With 19.6 points per game, Sotos is the Foresters' leading scorer. He is shooting 65.5 percent from the floor, 63.2 percent on three-pointers, and 82.4 percent from the free throw line.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Sotos also earned the award last week.
