The Midwest Conference released its 2014 Men's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll on Wednesday and Lake Forest College was picked to finish sixth. The Foresters return 15 letter winners from last season's team, including Brian Madson, who averaged 9.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.2 blocked shots per game.
Voting is done by the MWC head men's basketball coaches. Each coach votes for the ten other schools in the conference in order of predicted finish. Points are assigned in reverse order of voting (ten points for first, nine for second, etc.). Coaches may not vote for their own teams.
