Travis Clark Receives All-District and All-Region Honors

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) released its 2011-12 All-District Teams Tuesday and Lake Forest College's Travis Clark was a first team selection in the Midwest. He also earned Second Team All-Midwest Region honors from D3hoops.com.

Clark, a senior post player, was Lake Forest's leader with 18.0 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.3 blocked shots per game and his team-high .643 field goal percentage was the second-highest mark in the nation. He was also second on the squad with 3.1 rebounds per contest.

Clark was named Midwest Conference Player of the Year after leading the league in rebounding, field goal percentage, and double-doubles (12) and ranking fourth in the conference in scoring, steals, and blocked shots (tied). He was also 10th in assist-to-turnover ratio and 11th in assists. Clark was named MWC Performer of the Week four times during the season.

Clark finished his career with 1,493 points, 804 rebounds, 211 assists, 106 steals, and a program record 101 blocks. He also owns the school record with a .648 career field goal percentage and ranks third in team history in points and sixth in rebounds.

The Foresters won a program record 15 consecutive games during the 2011-12 season and, with a 16-2 MWC record, claimed their first league title since 2000 and the third in school history.
