Travis Clark Named MWC Performer of the Week

Lake Forest College men's basketball player Travis Clark was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Monday after helping led the Foresters to a pair of league victories over the weekend.

Clark, a senior post player, tied for team-high honors with 14 points and five rebounds in the Foresters' 72-51 rout of visiting Carroll University Friday night. He also recorded three assists and a steal in the contest.

Lake Forest hosted and defeated Lawrence University 66-65 on Saturday and Clark led the squad with 18 points. He also dished out five assists, blocked three shots, and pulled down his career-high 17th rebound of the game with 2.5 seconds on the clock to help secure the victory.

Clark leads the 5-1 (3-0 MWC) Foresters with 18.3 points, 11.2 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.8 blocked shots per game. He is also second on the squad with 3.2 assists per contest. Saturday's double-double was his fifth of the season and the 26th of his career.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information director. Clark also earned the award once each of the last two seasons.
