Lake Forest Falls at North Central College

The Forester men's basketball team was defeated 82-44 at North Central College on Tuesday and fell to 3-3 this season. Junior post player Travis Clark led the visitors with 14 points and a game-high nine rebounds.

Clark missed just one of his eight attempts from the field. He also blaked a pair of shots.

Junior forwards Nate Bateman and Dayton Young added three and two bloacked shots, respectively, as the Foresters turned away a season-high seven attempts in the game. Bateman was also next on the team with eight points.

Lake Forest shot 37 percent from the field while the Cardinals shot 53 percent. North Central was also 11-for-19 from three-point range and Lake Forest was 5-for-17. The home team had a 35-26 edge in rebounds, marking the first time this season the Foresters have been out-rebounded.

A 10-2 North Central run early in the game put the home team ahead for good and a 14-0 run later in the half extended the lead to 18 points. The score was 42-23 at halftime and the Cardinal scored 13 of the first 15 points of the second half to put it out of reach.

North Central raised its record on the season to 4-3.

The Foresters will put their 2-1 Midwest Conference record on the line against visiting St. Norbert College in their next game on Saturday, December 18. The contest will begin at 3:00 p.m.
