Lake Forest Players Win Three Bracket Finals at Milwaukee Classic

The Forester handball team competed at the Milwaukee Classic over the weekend and prevailed in the finals of three different brackets.

After falling in the A Division round of 16, Dylan Schmitt won in the quarterfinals, semifinals, and final in the A Consolation bracket. Cameron Lowe came out on top in four consecutive matches, including a 21010, 21-19 decision in the final, to take the B Division title. Zach Dybal matched Lowe's performance in the C Division, where his 21-13, 21-16 triumph in the final gave the Foresters three titles on the weekend.

Senior Anthony Sullivan was the only Lake Forest player competing in the top division, where he reached the consolation final. Junior Collin Peters advanced to the quarterfinals of the A Division while teammate Connor Hudziak matched that performance in the C bracket.

Junior Sarah Moskow, the team's only women's player, advanced to the semifinals in the Women's B Division before falling to the eventual champion.

The next event on the team's schedule is the Illinois Handball Association State Singles Tournament, which will be played at Schaumburg Tennis Plus January 14-16.
