Lake Forest to Host Exhibition of Handball Champions

Four of the top players in the world, including three Forester alumni, will compete in an Exhibition of Handball Champions next Friday and Saturday (November 23-24).

Competition will begin at 7:00 p.m. both nights in the Lake Forest College Sports and Recreation Center. Admission is $15 for one evening or $25 for both with seating limited to 100 spectators. Call Head Handball Coach Mike Dau at 847-735-5297 for ticket information.

Killian Carroll, the 2018 World Champion, headlines the event and is joined by Lake Forest College graduates Dan Cordova '15, Victor Perez '11, and Jon Iglesias '09. They are currently ranked 4th, 7th, and 13th, respectively, in professional handball.

The two semifinal matches will be played on Friday. Saturday's action will include a third-place contest, the championship, and a single-game doubles exhibition match featuring all four players.

Handball has been part of the varsity sport programming at Lake Forest College since the construction of the Sports Center in 1968. Under Coach Dau's direction, the Foresters have claimed a total of 51 men's, women's, and combined team titles at the annual United States Handball Association National Collegiate Championships.
