After completing the most prolific career by any wide receiver in Lake Forest College history, Dan Carter joined the Forester coaching staff and will direct the team’s wideouts for the second year in a row in 2011.

Under Carter's direction, Kevin Davis posted one of the most prolific seasons in program history in 2010, catching 46 passes for 688 yards and 11 touchdowns. He was an Honorable Mention All-Midwest Conference selection.

Carter was a four-time All-Midwest Conference honoree, earning First Team accolades three times after being named to the Second Team as a freshman. He was the Foresters’ Most Valuable Player his final two seasons and a captain in 2009.

Carter is Lake Forest’s career leader with 221 catches, 3,422 yards, 40 receiving touchdowns (also the overall touchdown record), and 242 points. He also set a single-season team record in 2009 with 77 receptions and twice matched the single-game mark with three touchdown catches.

The first coaching experience for the St. Viator (Arlington Heights, Illinois) graduate came at his alma mater in 2008 when he helped direct the team’s wide receivers.
