Anthony Shiffman joined the Forester coaching staff in 2019 as the team's offensive line coach and will also serve as running game coordinator in 2021.

Lake Forest has averaged nearly 30 points and 320 yards in 13 games since Shiffman came to the College. Under his direction, three Foresters earned All-Midwest Conference North Division honors in 2019, including first team selection John Colasacco. The unit featured the same starting lineup in all but one contest during in Shiffman's first season but just one of those starters was available in the spring of 2021.

Shiffman spent the 2017 and 2018 seasons as the head coach and offensive coordinator at Fort Madison High School in southeast Iowa. He led the Bloodhounds to as many victories in his 18 games with the program as they had in the previous 49 and the team more than doubled in size during his short tenure.

Fort Madison was the fourth stop for Shiffman, who began his coaching career as offensive line coach and strength and conditioning coordinator at Springfield High School in 2007. The Senators topped 2,000 rushing yards in each of his seven seasons with the team and set numerous school records in that span.

Shiffman was also the offensive line coach and strength and conditioning coordinator, in addition to head track and field coach, at Roanoke Rapids High School in North Carolina in 2014-15. The Yellow Jackets captured a conference title and made their first-ever trip to the quarterfinals of the state tournament in 2014.

Shiffman added run game coordinator to his offensive line coach and strength and conditioning coordinator duties at his next stop, Rossview High School in Clarksville, Tennessee. The Hawks reached the state playoffs in 2016 and he directed players to 15 all-area selections in two seasons with the team.

Lake Forest College and the Midwest Conference are not foreign to Shiffman, who lettered three years at league member Illinois College. He also went on to earn a masters degree from Greenville College.

In addition to coaching, Shiffman is also the co-founder of #HogFBChat, a Twitter chat where coaches at all levels around the country discuss various aspects of the game of football.
