Third Time's a Charm: Jackson Named Men's Forester Athlete of the Week

For the third time this season, Forester football player A.J. Jackson was named the men's Forester Athlete of the Week on Tuesday. He was also awarded athlete of the week on October 12 and October 26.

Jackson's performance in Lake Forest's game against Beloit College was another record-breaking one for the junior wide receiver. He had two punt returns during the game, one of 50 yards and one of 75. With these two returns, he now has an NCAA Division III record eight career punt return touchdowns in just 21 games. In addition, this increases his total to a conference record-setting four this season.

Jackson is first in the nation for yards per return, averaging 30.1 yards. He now holds the program record in punt return yards with 511 on just 17 attempts. He;s only 85 yards shy of the Midwest Conference record in career punt return yards; he sits with a total of 1,100 currently, which is a team record by a wide margin.
