Fifth Career MWC Special Teams Performer of the Week Award for A.J. Jackson

Forester football player A.J. Jackson was named Midwest Conference Special Teams Performer of the Week for the fifth time in his career on Monday.

Jackson scored touchdowns on punt returns of 50 and 73 yards in Lake Forest's victory over Beloit College on Saturday. He now has an NCAA Division III record eight career punt return touchdowns in just 21 games, including a conference record four this season. Jackson's 202 yards on four returns on Saturday are a school record and the second-highest single-game total in league history.

With a program record 511 punt return yards on just 17 attempts this season, Jackson leads the nation at 30.1 yards per return. He is also 12th in the country with 164.4 all-purpose yards per game. The junior's 1,100 career punt return yards are also a team record by a wide margin and the second-highest total in MWC history, just 85 shy of yet another record.

Saturday's victory was the Foresters' 12 in a row and they are 9-0 overall and 8-0 in league play this fall. Lake Forest will host the University of Chicago in this Saturday's regular season finale with an opportunity to capture a conference title and earn a spot in the NCAA Division III Playoffs.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors. Jackson has earned the award three times this season after receiving it twice as a freshman in 2019. He was also the MWC Offensive Performer of the Week earlier this year for his performance as a wide receiver.
