The American Football Coaches Association released its 2016 Division III All-American Teams on Monday and Alex Pasiewicz of Lake Forest was a First Team selection.

Pasiewicz, a senior wide receiver and kick returner, earned the special teams all-purpose spot on the list after tying for the national lead with three kickoff return touchdowns and two scores on punt returns this season. He was the only player in the country to be tied-for-first in both categories and his 997 combined kick return yards and 192.9 all-purpose yards par game each ranked third in the nation. Pasiewicz finished 10th in the country with 29.9 yards per kickoff return and 20th with 12.9 yards per punt return. He also converted first downs on three fake punts, covering a total of 67 yards on the three rushing attempts.

While his performance on special teams earned him a spot on the Coaches All-America list, Pasiewicz also excelled as a receiver this season. He led Lake Forest with 53 receptions for 865 yards and tied for 29th in the nation with 11 touchdown catches.

Pasiewicz finished his four years as the Foresters' career leader with 11.5 yards per punt return, two punt return touchdowns, 1,495 kickoff return yards, 26.2 yards per kickoff return, and four kickoff return touchdowns. He also set single-season school records with his punt and kickoff return touchdown totals and 778 kickoff return yards in 2016. In addition, he is the only player in program history with four touchdown receptions in a single game.

The first AFCA All-American in program history, Pasiewicz was also recently named First Team All-West Region by D3football.com and earned First Team All-Midwest Conference honors as both a wide receiver and returner.

Lake Forest posted an 8-2 overall record in 2016 and the Foresters finished third in the Midwest Conference standings with a league mark of 6-2.
