Lake Forest College football player Alex Pasiewicz was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday for his performance in the team's 34-27 victory over Lawrence University at home on Saturday.

Pasiewicz, a senior wide receiver and returner, brought a kickoff back 100 yards for a touchdown and finished the day with 163 yards on three kickoff returns. He also ran the ball twice on fake punts and covered a total of 40 yards while gaining the yardage needed for first downs on both attempts. In addition, he grabbed a tipped pass in the end zone when the Foresters went for two points following a touchdown just before halftime.

Pasiewicz is now the program's record-holder with three kickoff return touchdowns this season and four in his career. His 163 kickoff return yards on the day are also a team record, and he also moved into first place in school history with 642 kickoff return yards this year and 1,359 in his career.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Pasiewicz was also named Midwest Conference Special Teams Performer of the Week on Monday and to the D3football.com Team of the Week on Tuesday. It was the second time this season he earned all three awards.
