Lake Forest College football player Joey Valdivia repeated as Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday for his performance in Saturday's 35-14 victory at Macalester College.

Valdivia, a senior tailback, scored the game's first points on a 57-yard run 7:56 into the contest and gave the visitors a 21-7 lead on a 12-yarder late in the second quarter. With the Foresters leading 21-14 late in the fourth, Valdivia broke off touchdown runs of 74 and 44 yards just 38 seconds apart to clinch the Lake Forest victory.

It was the second straight four-touchdown game for Valdivia, whose program record 19 rushing scores this season lead the nation. He has also amassed 1,072 yards on the ground in 2016, good for second in the country and third in team history with three games yet to play.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Valdivia also earned the honor a week ago and once last season. In addition, he was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday.
