Lake Forest College football player Alex Pasiewicz was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday for his performance in the team's 55-13 victory at Cornell College on Saturday.

Pasiewicz, a senior wide receiver and returner, tied a program record by catching three touchdown passes in the contest. He scored on a 70-yard reception and a 3-yard catch in the second quarter and added a 17-yarded in the third. Pasiewicz finished the game with five catches for 113 yards and became just the ninth player in team history with three touchdown catches in a game.

Also a key contributor on Forester special teams, Pasiewicz posted the longest kickoff return in school history when he traveled 102 yards to the end zone on the first play of the day. He also added a 27-yard run on a fake punt four plays before his final touchdown catch of the contest.

Pasiewicz finished the afternoon with 268 all-purpose yards and now ranks second in the Midwest Conference in that category this season.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Pasiewicz was also named MWC Special Teams Performer of the Week on Monday and to the D3football.com Team of the Week as a returner on Tuesday.
