Alex Pasiewicz Named MWC Special Teams Performer of the Week

Lake Forest College football player Alex Pasiewicz was named Midwest Conference Special Teams Performer of the Week on Monday for his play in the Foresters' 55-13 victory at Cornell College on Saturday.

Pasiewicz, a senior wide receiver, returned the opening kickoff 102 yards for a touchdown, surpassing the previous program record long of 101 yards set by Harley Wahl in 1956. It was his second career kickoff return for a score.

Pasiewicz finished the game with 128 return yards after fielding two kickoffs and three punts. In addition to his contributions as a returner, he also contributed on special teams be rushing for 27 yards from midfield on a fake punt early in the third quarter. Four plays later he caught a 17-yard touchdown pass, one of his team record-tying three receiving touchdowns in the game. He also scored on pass plays from 70 and 3 yards out in the second quarter and finished the day with five receptions for 113 yards.
