The Lake Forest College Football team will be participating in its Fifth Annual Heroes Day on Saturday, September 13. The Foresters will once again honor members of the Armed Forces (current and retired) as well as the Lake County Police, Fire, and EMT Departments. Free admission will be given to those who have served or are currently serving with the presentation of a service ID at the entrance gate. In addition to the day of celebrating service, the Foresters will be collecting donated items for their annual care package program. Teaming up with the Alpha Phi Sorority, the program has sent over 250 care packages to United State Military personnel over the last four years.

The Foresters will welcome Navy Band Great Lakes, who will perform a Patriotic Opener and the National Anthem at the game. The Color Guard from the Marine Corp League of Lake County, Detachment 801 will present the colors prior to the anthem. Once again, the Lake County HOGS will provide additional patriotic assistance to the Heroes Alley, through which the Foresters will travel as they enter the field.
