The 2009 All-Midwest Conference football teams were released Tuesday (November 17) and 12 Lake Forest College players were recognized for their acheivements this season.
Lake Forest College football player Anthony Garetto (Orland Park, Ill./Marist) was named Midwest Conference Special Teams Performer of the Week on Monday (November 9) for his performance at Carroll University the previous Saturday (November 7).
The Forester football team concluded the 2009 season with a 9-3 loss at Carroll University on Saturday (November 7). Lake Forest finished 2-8 overall and 2-7 in Midwest Conference play. The Pioneers posted an overall record of 5-5 and a league mark of 5-4.
The Lake Forest College football team was defeated 12-7 at home by Knox College on Saturday (October 31). The Foresters fell to 2-7 overall this season and 2-6 in Midwest Conference play. The Prarie Fire are now 1-8 overall and 1-7 in the league.
The Forester football team was defeated 51-14 by Monmouth College on Saturday (October 24). Lake Forest fell to 2-6 overall on the season and 2-5 in Midwest Conference play. The Fighting Scots, ranked ninth in the country by D3football.com, is still undefeated after eight games, including seven MWC contests.
The Lake Forest College football team won its second game in a row Saturday (October 17), a 35-28 triumph at Grinnell College. Both the Foresters and Pioneers are now 2-5 overall and 2-4 in Midwest Conference.
The Forester football team celebrated Homecoming with a 28-14 victory over Lawrence University on Saturday (October 10). Lake Forest is now 1-5 overall this season and 1-4 in Midwest Conference play. The Vikings fell to 0-5, both overall and in the league.
The Lake Forest College football team will host Lawrence University on Homecoming this Saturday (October 10). When the captains from both teams proceed to midfield for the coin toss, they will do so with a pair of special individuals by their sides.

The Forester football team was defeated 35-7 by Ripon College on Saturday (September 12). It was Lake Forest's home opener and the first Midwest Conference game of the season for both teams. The Foresters are now 0-2 overall on the year while the Red Hawks evened their record at 1-1.
The Lake Forest College football team opened the 2009 season with a 14-7 loss at Aurora University on Saturday (September 5). Aurora was listed 20th in Lindy's Sports Division III preseason rankings. It was Jim Catanzaro's first game as head coach of the Foresters.
Lake Forest College Athletic Director Jackie Slaats announced Tuesday (April 21) that Head Football Coach Brent Becker has resigned to pursue other career interests and that defensive coordinator Jim Catanzaro has been selected as his replacement.
