Mike Raymond Moves into Administrative Role in Athletic Department

Head men's and women's tennis coach Michael Raymond will assume a new role in the Forester Athletic Department as operations director for facilities and club sports. He replaces Jacquie Vinje, who recently resigned from her position within the department and relocated to California.

Raymond came to the College in 2011 and spent five years as the head coach of both programs, compiling a combined 125-101 overall record and a mark of 49-14 in Midwest Conference play. The women's team qualified for the four-team conference tournament in each of his five seasons and claimed a league title in 2015. The men advanced to the championship match of the MWC Tournament each of the last two springs. Forester players also captured 13 MWC singles and doubles titles during his tenure.

In addition to their success between the lines, Raymond's players have also excelled in the classroom. Twenty-six men's and women's players have earned a combined 37 Academic All-MWC honors over the last five seasons.

"Coach Raymond has done a tremendous job leading our tennis teams," began Lake Forest College Director of Athletics Jackie Slaats. "His players have been consistently successful, both on and off the court, and he has helped advance the sport at the College and in the Midwest Conference. We are extremely appreciative for what he has done for the program and look forward to many more years with him on our staff in his new role."
