The Forester Athletic Network (F.A.N. Club) Appreciation Awards were established in 2013 to recognize and honor members of the Forester community who, over a significant number of years, have actively supported athletics at Lake Forest College through their service, dedication, and commitment and, who by giving of themselves, have demonstrated the extraordinary spirit and pride associated with Forester Athletics and its Tradition of Excellence.
 

Forester Impact Award

The Forester Impact Award honors individuals who have made a significant impact on athletics at Lake Forest College through their loyal support and whose consistent and meritorious commitment has contributed to the success of Forester Athletics. These individuals have gone above and beyond in serving and supporting the Forester athletic community.

Recipients do not need to be Lake Forest College alumni and may include former athletic department staff members and/or friends of the College.

Golden Whistle Award

The Golden Whistle Award honors coaches who have made outstanding contributions to Lake Forest College through coaching, mentoring, and/or serving the Forester athletic community. These individuals have gone above and beyond in service and inspiring loyalty and pride amongst their student-athletes.

Recipients must have coached a varsity or club sport at Lake Forest College for a significant number of years and have achieved a high level of respect during his or her tenure.

A F.A.N. Awards committee chaired and appointed by the Director of Athletics will select the recipients. If/when a deserving candidate is selected for either award; it will be presented at the Homecoming Athletic Recognition Ceremony. Only one of the above awards can be presented annually.
