Mike Wajerski

Mike Wajerski has been the Lake Forest College Sports Information Director since 2001. Prior to taking on the role, Wajerski served as the head coach of the Forester men's and women's cross country teams for three years.

Wajerski has since made several improvements to the Official Web Site of Forester Athletics. He has continued to maintain and improve personal pages for each of the 300-plus Forester student-athletes with biographies, pictures, and career stats. Wajerski has also researched and added individual and team records for each of Lake Forest's 17 sports.

Wajerski came to Lake Forest in 1998 after four years working at his alma mater, Carthage College, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, as an assistant cross country and track & field coach. In 1994 he earned a Bachelor of arts degree in accounting and international business with a minor in Spanish and added a third degree in exercise & sports science in 1998.

While at Carthage, Wajerski was a three-sport athlete and earned five varsity letters in baseball (2), cross-country (1), and track & field (2). He earned All-College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin honors and briefly held the school record in the decathlon.

Wajerski resides in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, with his wife Sarah and sons Alex and Ben.
