Stevenson entered Lake Forest College in the fall of 2002 and finished second on the women’s soccer team as a freshman with nine goals and 21 points. As they would at the end of each of her four seasons, Midwest Conference coaches made her a First Team All-MWC selection. Stevenson scored 17 goals and set single-season school records with 17 assists and 51 points as a sophomore. After tallying another 28 goals and 14 assists during her final two seasons combined, she graduated as the program’s career leader with 54 goals and 142 points. The Foresters made their first NCAA Division III Tournament appearance during Stevenson’s sophomore season and captured a league title the following year. Lake Forest went 43-23-3 overall and 26-7-3 in MWC play during her career and she was a team captain and the Foresters’ Most Valuable Player as a senior.

Extremely successful in the classroom as well, Stevenson was the College’s Scholar-Athlete Award winner each of her four years and an Academic All-MWC selection all three seasons she was eligible for the award. The College Sports Information Directors of America named her Academic All-District® three times and she was a First Team Academic All-American® selection her senior year.

While on campus Stevenson was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. The biology major and Phi Beta Kappa member also participated in a summer research program in neuroscience. After graduating from the College in 2006, she went on to earn a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from the University of New Mexico, began a career in health care, and became a proud wife and mother.
