Maggie Rezac grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and attended Marian High School. She competed in diving and claimed a state championship her senior year.

Rezac entered Lake Forest College in the fall of 2004 and became one of the most accomplished divers in school history. She was named Midwest Conference Diver of the Year as a freshman after capturing a league title in 3-meter diving and finishing as the runner-up off the 1-meter board. After placing second in the conference in both events as a sophomore, she swept the league diving competition and was once again named MWC Diver of the Year as a junior and senior. Rezac qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships in each of her four years and earned All-American honors by placing among the top eight in the nation in 1-meter diving as a freshman and both events each of the next three years. Her top performance at the national meet came as a senior, when she finished second off the 1-meter board and third in the 3-meter event. Rezac still held three of the program’s four diving records at the time of her induction, including the 493.80 points she earned in the 1-meter competition at the 2007 MWC Championships, which was still the highest score in conference history in that event.

Rezac was also extremely successful in the classroom, earning Lake Forest’s Scholar/Athlete Award as a junior and senior for owning the highest grade point average in her class over the previous three semesters. She was also named Academic All-Midwest Conference each of the three years she was eligible for the award and Third Team Academic All-American® by ESPN The Magazine and the College Sports Information Directors of America as a senior. The psychology major earned the College’s Nicholas J. Wasylik Senior Athlete Award and was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology, and Senior 25.

After graduating from Lake Forest, Rezac added a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and began a career in that field.
