Announced Tuesday, Bobby Ojascastro of men's lacrosse and softball's Teagan Delarwelle were named Forester Athletes of the Week.
Ojascastro helped the Foresters to a 16-14 victory over last year's MLC champions Dubuque on Saturday. The junior mid-fielder assisted on the first goal of the game for the Foresters, and then added six of his own goals to the total, scoring three goals in the first half of play and three additional goals in the second half.
Delarwelle went 5-for-13 over four games over the weekend. She hit her first career homerun in Lake Forest's game 1 win against Knox College on Friday. She added a double and batted in three runs in the game as well. In the Foresters' doubleheader against Illinois College, she added another two hits and a walk to her stats sheet.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by a vote of athletic department staff on Tuesdays. This is the first time either Ojascastro or Delarwelle have earned the distinction.
