Forester Athletes of the Week: April 4

Senior Jack Dwyer of men's golf and junior Ryleigh Nelson of women's lacrosse were named Forester Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

Dwyer carded eight birdies en route to a career-best two-round score of 147 (73-74). He also led Lake Forest to the lowest 36-hole total in school history (600) and an eight-stroke victory in the 11-team Fighting Scot Spring Invite over the weekend.

Nelson netted a career-high five goals as the Foresters routed Wartburg College 23-6 in their first Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference game of the season on Sunday. She has now scored nine times on the season.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by a vote of athletic department staff on Tuesdays. Dwyer has earned this distinction four times previously, most recently on April 12, 2022. This is the first time Nelson has been awarded athlete of the week honors.
