The Forester Athletes of the Week were announced on Tuesday, and Oleksyi Vyshyvanyuk of men's tennis and Jenna Doctor of women's lacrosse were honored with the distinction.
Vyshyvanyuk won big at #1 singles on Friday evening against Carthage College. The team faced Principia College on Saturday night, winning again at #1 singles and adding a victory at #1 doubles with partner Daniel Tulchinskiy.
Doctor led the Foresters to a 16-5 victory against Concordia University Chicago, scoring a program record seven goals during the game. The sophomore also led all players in the game with five ground ball and three caused turnovers.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by a vote of athletic department staff on Tuesdays. Vyshyvanyuk has been named athlete of the week five times previously; this is the first time this season he's earned the honors. Doctor won the award once before on April 19, 2022.
