On Sunday, March 5, Lake Forest College Athletics and Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA) hosted the 12th annual "The Sleds Are Coming Again!" event at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse. The event brought awareness to GLASA and helped to raise funds for the organization.

The afternoon kicked off with a special on-ice presentation, which honored the Lake Forest High School hockey team as the JJ O'Connor Achievement Award recipient. The award was established in JJ O'Connor's '01 name and is presented annually to an individual or group who demonstrates good character, leadership and sportsmanship, who is devoted to serving the community, and who perseveres regardless of obstacles.

On-ice competition consisted of three 12-minute periods of 5-on-5 sled hockey featuring the GLASA Falcons sled hockey teams. During the game, students and members of the community participated in a silent auction, raffle prizes, chuck-a-puck contest while cheering on the Falcons. There was also a Junior Falcon Mites 5-minute mini scrimmage, which fans supported and cheered for.

This year's event was a tremendous success, yet again. Lake Forest College looks forward to joining GLASA again next year in hosting another incredible event.
