Annie Lally of women's basketball and Alex Knight of men's basketball were named Forester Athletes of the Week on Tuesday for their performances in their respective competitions.
Lally scored 14 points during the Foresters' game against Carthage College last Tuesday. The senior forward went 4-for-6 from the field and tied for team-high in rebounds with six.
In their game against Wheaton College on Tuesday, sophomore guard Alex Knight led Lake Forest with 16 points and three assists and tied for the team lead with six rebounds. He added eight points, two assists, and two rebounds to his week's stat sheet during the Foresters' game against Millikin University on Saturday.
The Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by a vote of athletic department staff on Tuesdays. Lally has earned Forester Athlete of the Week designation twice before, once on November 23, 2021 and again on December 21, 2021. This is the first time Knight has earned the honors.
