This Week in the Forest May 25-31

It's officially summer, and we hope that you were able to kick it off with a great Memorial Day Weekend. Like Coach Catanzaro and Forester football, we also took time on Memorial Day to honor and remember those who gave their lives for their country, and thanked those who served.

Cross country and distance track celebrated their teams' successes throughout the past couple weeks by highlighting each of their team members individually. They've just reached their current freshmen runners.

While some teams are continuing their well-deserved celebration of last season, there are some who are looking ahead to the Fall and the 2020-21 season. Men's basketball shared some fun news about their upcoming season's schedule on Twitter.

In the same vein, the Forester family has grown a bit as more teams continue to announce their incoming freshmen classes. Women's soccer has started a new #WelcomeWednesday campaign to spotlight their incoming players, and women's hockey promised to do the same in the coming weeks.

The country is beginning to open up, state by state. While the Foresters are looking forward to August and the coming academic year, we have a wide and open summer ahead of us, and we hope that we will all be able to enjoy it to the fullest.
