Austin Aksoy came to Lake Forest from Atlanta, Georgia. Overall, he earned eight letters as a Forester, including four on the men's golf team.
Aksoy was Academic All-Midwest Conference after his sophomore and junior seasons. During his senior year on the team, he served as team captain. Aksoy helped the golf team capture conference championships in 2018 and 2019, and he competed in the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Tournament.
He's ranked tenth in team history for low score for an individual on 54 holes (241 (+25)).
This week, Aksoy will graduate with a degree in finance.
Lauren Giurini is from Naperville, Illinois and earned six varsity letters as a Forester. She ran for the track team for two seasons.
After her sophomore year, Giurini was named Academic All-Midwest Conference. She also served as team captain during her senior year.
For indoor track, she and her teammates hold the team records in the 4 x 800m (11:42.24) and the distance medley (13:02.81) relays. Her team is also ranked second in team history for the 4 x 400m relay (4:27.21). Her times in the 400m (1:07.15) and the 200m (30.61) rank her fourth and fifth in team annals, respectively.
When she graduates, Giurini's degree will be in mathematics.
